In recent years, digital controlled voltage regulation modules (VRMs) have gained popularity due to their many advantages over traditional analog controlled voltage regulation modules. However, there are still many shortcomings, such as quantization effects, delay effects, and so on. The delay link is mostly within the digital controller, and it is difficult to know its exact model. This paper introduces a small signal model of a self driving voltage adjustment module with digital control of a 12V zero voltage switch. The main circuit and the digital control circuit are modeled separately, and finally a complete small signal model is unified. Based on this, the control circuit is designed. This model is also applicable to buck circuits and multi intersection and parallel buck circuits. In addition, a digital controller that can achieve adaptive voltage positioning (AVP) is designed using this method. Finally, simulation and experimental conclusions are given to prove the correctness of the proposed small signal model.
